‘Clean energy, protecting environment’ can coexist with economic prosperity; Trump can win independents over with this messaging

On this episode of the podcast, Chris Barnard, President of the American Conservation Coalition Action (ACC) joins host Amanda Head to discuss the importance of discussing energy policy along the campaign trail in order to win the support of independent and young voters. After all, survey research conducted by ACC shows that two-thirds of the independent voters today prioritize ‘climate change.’

Barnard analyzed Vice President Harris’ somewhat polished debate performance while questioning the appeal of her policies. He also heavily critiques the progressive left’s environmental strategy, such as shutting down nuclear plants like California and New York have done in recent years, sending emissions skyrocketing within the next month.

Barnard and his organization continue their work by advocating for nuclear energy as a reliable and eco-friendly alternative for the United States to produce clean, reliable energy. The duo discusses former President Donald Trump’s missed opportunity during the debate to push his message on energy independence, a subject matter he excelled on while in the White House, as well as pushing other clean energy initiatives.

Scott Rasmussen’s new poll shows just 44% of voters know about tomorrow’s only presidential debate, indicates ‘election fatigue’

On this episode of the podcast, host Amanda Head talks with the President of RMG Research Inc., and the Sunday morning Merit Street TV show host Scott Rasmussen about the latest polling ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Rasmussen conducted a poll last week that showed only 44% of voters knew about tomorrow’s only presidential debate, which could indicate voter ‘weariness or election fatigue’ already.

The veteran pollster discusses recent poll numbers and the respective presidential candidate who is more favored on all of the top issues from the economy and taxes to illegal immigration and border security, as well as the very niche issue of abortion. Rasmussen believes Vice President Kamala Harris is in danger during the debate if she riffs off one of her “infamous word salads” or creates a moment for herself that goes viral online and ultimately defines her as the lesser-known candidate in this race.

Rasmussen also expects former President Donald Trump to be more “restrained and not commenting or jumping over her [Harris] statements.” As for right now, Rasmussen believes that Trump has the “advantage unless he does something foolish” on the night of the debate.
