Amanda Head sounds off on Trump verdict, Rep. Gohmert details the weaponization of justice & Congress’ ineffective progress

On this episode of the podcast, show Host Amanda Head sounds off after hearing the GUILTY verdict on all 34 counts in former President Donald Trump’s New York criminal trial. Head is also joined by former Judge and Republican Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert to talk about the other most pressing issues Americans face today.

The former Chief Justice of Texas’ 12th Court of Appeals examines the current integrity of our judicial system and its increasing politicization, offering valuable insights into how these trends impact justice and governance. Gohmert goes on to discuss the lack of oversight or checks and balances on our nation’s judges, the controversy of the courts not willing to take up contentious cases due to potential protests, as well as the discplinary action he would have taken against the lawyer who acted in bad faith by lying to the FISA judge in order to obtain the warrant that allowed the spying on then-candidate Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. Judge Gohmert also cannot believe the weaponization of justice today, especially as he once advocated for the House Judiciary Committee to bring judges before the Committee on a routine basis.

The Texas Republican also shares his insights on Congress’ ineffectiveness and the critical lack of action that hinders progress. The duo discusses the complexities of securing the U.S.-Mexico border and the profound impact of illegal immigration on Hispanic communities. Rep. Gohmert offers a unique perspective on these issues, drawing from his extensive experience based on his firsthand observations and while serving in Congress.

Rep. Gohmert also expressed his latest election concern regarding Texas’ recent runoff elections, particularly highlighting Texas Speaker of the House Dade Phelan’s controversial victory. Phelan went on to win his runoff with great thanks to over 1,400 Democrats who crossed party lines to vote for him, aiming to spite House Republicans.

Dershowitz: Trump Conviction Will Change Justice System Forever; Hamadeh: Dems Want Illegals To Vote For Them

On this episode of the podcast, Host Amanda Head dives into former President Donald Trump’s ‘hush money’ trial and the weaponization of our justice system with Harvard Law Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz. Dershowitz tells Head, “if there’s a conviction here, it will change the justice system forevermore.” The best-selling author goes on to say, “it will weaponize the [justice] system. It will mean that both sides will try to use the legal system as a way of winning elections.” Dershowitz, who was in the New York courtroom, went on to say that, “if there is an acquittal, maybe at least we can say the jury system works. But if there’s a conviction or even a hung jury, it will show the prosecution benefits from bringing a case, which is no crime at all.” The legal scholar also slams Judge Juan Merchan, who is currently overseeing the Trump case in New York. Dershowitz says that he is not ‘unbiased’ and that he also ‘wants a conviction’ of the former president.

The second guest on this episode of the podcast is Abe Hamadeh, Arizona’s 2022 Republican Nominee for Attorney General, and currently a republican candidate for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District. Hamadeh told Head that the Democrats want illegal immigrants to vote in elections so they can get more voters. He said, “The Democrats, they know that they’ve lost the American people.” He goes on to say, “they’re losing black Americans and Hispanic Americans. So what they’re trying to do is get a new voter bloc on their side.” These bold statements come at a time when House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) held a press conference earlier this month where they discussed the “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act” which would require proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in federal elections. Hamadeh said that he has noticed some pushback from state legislatures on illegal immigrants being able to vote and some of them have been ‘punching back more effectively’ than he’s ever seen.

In their conversation, the two discuss his professional experience as he has served as the director of several national cemeteries including in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Los Angeles, California during Memorial Day.

During their conversation, Head asks Ruck what he specifically focuses on when he keynotes Memorial Day celebrations across the country, such as the address he’s delivering today at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida. Ruck tells Head to just simply ‘remember’ that one family member or close friend who they choose to honor on this federal holiday. He goes on to inspire people of America to encourage their friends or family who have served in the military to, “write out their story, put it on tape, put it on video, just anything, so that it’s never lost because that’s the spirit of America, that’s the fabric of America — our veterans stories.”

Additionally, Head talks to Ruck about his unique book, “Sacred Ground: A Tribute to America’s Veterans”. Furthermore, Amanda Head rounds out this special Memorial Day podcast episode with retired United States Marine Corps Major Paul Grenseman. Major Grenseman talks to Head about his sacrifice and service while in the U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps which dates back to 1974. Major Greneseman said he was, “very aware of Joe Biden during the entire time [Biden was in the Senate] and his lack of support for everything that the military has ever asked him for.” The two also delve into the current statistics and issues our service men and women face today, going on to say that our military is “seriously falling behind”. Major Grenseman said former President Donald Trump brought readiness way up in just about every aspect and if he had remained in office for a second term, Major Grenseman has absolutely ‘no doubt’ that the fiasco in Afghanistan would have never happened.

After a quick political discussion, Head redirects the conversation away from politics to dive into the significance of Memorial Day, and honor Major Paul Grenseman by allowing him to tell his personal story. Major Grenseman goes on to discuss how military service was very much a ‘tradition in his family,’ and he dives into the amazing stories of his service, as well as his father, and uncles.

On this Memorial Day we come together once again to honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication have secured the freedoms we enjoy today and their legacy lives on in our hearts and minds. Today, we salute our veterans and extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen service members, their families and friends, who have also borne the weight of their sacrifice. May we strive to live in a way that honors their memory and upholds the values they fought to defend.

New Tolerance Campaign: Defend religious freedoms & Super Bowl Kicker Butker, defeat cancel culture & corruption

On this episode, Host Amanda Head is joined by Gregory T. Angelo. Angelo previously served as the President of the Log Cabin Republicans, but now serves as the President of the New Tolerance Campaign and they’re tackling some of the most pressing issues facing America today.

The duo dive into the pervasive problem of cancel culture and institutional corruption that have deeply infiltrated colleges, universities, nonprofits and the media. Far from being confined to social media and woke corporations, these issues have become powerful tools wielded by the Democrat Party.

The conversation broadens to include the ongoing cultural conflict in the United States, highlighting the clash between efforts to suppress Christianity and traditional gender roles and the defense of religious freedom and individual expression. Angelo shares insights into the New Tolerance Campaign’s latest initiatives aimed at protecting religious liberties and combatting cancel culture, including a specific case where Super Bowl Champion and Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker faced backlash following his commencement speech given to the graduating class of a small Catholic college.

Angelo and Head also discuss the double standards in fashion criticism, particularly regarding former First Lady Melania Trump. Despite her impeccable style, Melania was often ignored or unfairly criticized while the media continues to fawn over and give magazine spreads to women like Joe Biden’s White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. This discussion underscores broader themes of bias and inconsistency in media treatment.

Gregory Angelo and the New Tolerance Campaign continue to expose the deeper layers of these societal challenges and offer a glimpse into the fight for a more tolerant and free America. Powering Progress: Navigating America’s Growing Electricity Demands with Energy Expert Mark Mills

On this episode of the podcast, Host Amanda Head dives into the intricate landscape of America’s electricity demands and the critical need for additional power plant infrastructure to meet the ever-increasing growth. Amanda’s distinguished guest on this episode is Mark P. Mills, one of our nation’s premiere energy experts. Mr. Mills currently serves as the Executive Director of the National Center for Energy Analytics and as a Senior Fellow at the Texas Public Policy Foundation and discusses the testimony he gave before the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on May 21, 2024.

Right now, there is a soaring demand for electricity to fuel data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), manufacturing, electric vehicles (EV) and much more, but powering these growth areas to sustain economic prosperity is going to take a bipartisan effort in Congress and tons of consultation with outside industry leaders and energy experts. Nevertheless, constant political gridlock pose a major challenge to effectively balance electricity growth as well as current and future energy needs. However, throughout the conversation Mills inferred there seemed to be a renewed level of optimism by elected Republicans and Democrats, especially on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, to work on the future of energy innovation and navigate our nation’s energy output issues together.

Additionally, Head questioned Mills as to why automakers are struggling with electric vehicle profitability despite the Biden Administration’s constant push, which now includes subsidies. Mills delves into the complexities of EV sales, market share, and the accelerating growth rate juxtaposed against overall vehicle sales.

Furthermore, the discussion shifts to the environmental impacts of renewable energy sources, with differing perspectives on the definition of ‘clean’ energy and the geopolitical dependencies of solar panels and electric vehicles. Head and Mills dive into a greater conversation about the future of energy technology, including nuclear power and the role of government regulation that often delay major progress in all industries, especially energy.

Former Trump Advisor, now Congressional Candidate Brian Jack talks about restoring the ‘America First’ agenda

In this episode of the podcast, host Amanda Head interviews Brian Jack, a former senior advisor to then-President Donald Trump, who is currently running in the Republican Primary for Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District, which will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The ‘America First’ agenda, which achieved significant milestones such as reducing illegal immigration, constructing the border wall, enabling energy independence, lowering prices, reducing inflation, and combating corruption within the government, remains a focal point for voters as primary elections like this one take place.

These issues, reminiscent of the 2016 election, are once again at the forefront of voters’ concerns as they head to the polls. Brian Jack is uniquely positioned as the one and only in the 3rd Congressional District to have received the covenant endorsement from former president and current 2024 GOP Presumptive Nominee Donald Trump. In a heavily favored republican district, if Jack advances after tomorrow’s contest, he aims to beat his Democrat opponent and join fellow conservative leaders on Capitol Hill to once again begin enacting the ‘America First’ agenda.

RFK Jr. & super PAC file First Amendment lawsuit against Meta, claims election interference on ‘censored’ campaign video

In the latest episode of “Furthermore with Amanda Head,” Tony Lyons, co-founder of RFK Jr.’s super PAC “American Values 2024,” joins Amanda Head to discuss the committee’s new First Amendment and election interference lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta for allegedly censoring the biographical film “Who Is Bobby Kennedy?” Lyons emphasizes the campaign’s need to leverage Meta’s platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram to connect with baby boomers, a demographic where their polling is the weakest. He argues that without Facebook’s ‘shadow banning,’ the candidate’s poll numbers among voters aged 60 to 78 would improve significantly.

Additionally, Lyons addresses what he perceives as corruption in the current presidential election cycle, between the denial of Secret Service protection, the mainstream media’s constant messaging on how a third-party candidate cannot win the nationwide election, to RFK Jr. campaign’s ongoing fight for valid ballot access in all 50 states. He also reviewed recent polls that indicate strong support for the independent presidential candidate among voters aged 45 and younger which could secure him a victory if the election were held today, surpassing both President Biden and former President Donald Trump.
